Segundo a Resolução n°006/2009-CUni,

“Art. 1°. A Coordenadoria de Relações Internacionais–CRINT, vinculada à Reitoria da Universidade Federal de Roraima – UFRR é um órgão de apoio à comunidade acadêmica da UFRR, que corrobora também no sentido de cumprir a missão da universidade: a defesa e o desenvolvimento técnico-científico da Amazônia por meio de ações acadêmico-administrativas. A CRINT buscará, igualmente, a internacionalização da UFRR através de cooperação e convênios com instituições e órgãos estrangeiros que beneficiem a comunidade acadêmica no campo do ensino, da pesquisa e da extensão.”

Ainda segundo a Resolução n°006/2009, as finalidades da CRINT são:

• Promover a troca de experiências entre estudantes, gestores, pesquisadores e professores com correlatos de instituições estrangeiras por meio de cursos, estágios, eventos e intercâmbios;
• Estimular o desenvolvimento de projetos de cooperação internacional com instituições conveniadas e outras instituições;
• Estimular e buscar condições para que discentes, docentes e técnico-administrativos da UFRR participem de atividades internacionais;
• Auxiliar estudantes, professores e pesquisadores estrangeiros, participantes de intercâmbios internacionais no âmbito da UFRR, na regularização de sua situação no Brasil.

Sobre os objetivos da Coordenadoria de Relações Internacionais, a Resolução n°006/2009 lista:

• Coordenar as atividades de cooperação e convênios internacionais no âmbito da UFRR;
• Assessorar a Administração Superior na formalização de contratos, acordos, projetos, convênios e intercâmbios com instituições internacionais de ensino, pesquisa e outras instituições correlatas;
• Incentivar a comunidade acadêmica da UFRR, por meio das Pró-Reitorias e Unidades Acadêmicas, na formalização de contratos, acordos, projetos, intercâmbios, relações acadêmicas, culturais e convênios internacionais em conformidade com os interesses da UFRR;
• Assessorar a comunidade externa à UFRR em questões de assuntos internacionais, que se coadunem com o desenvolvimento institucional da UFRR;

According to Resolution No. 006/2009-CUni:

“Article 1. The Office of International Relations (CRINT), linked to the Rector’s Office of the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR), is a support body for the academic community of UFRR, which also contributes to fulfilling the university’s mission: the defense and technical-scientific development of the Amazon through academic and administrative actions. CRINT also seeks the internationalization of UFRR through cooperation and agreements with foreign institutions and organizations that benefit the academic community in the fields of teaching, research, and outreach.”

Furthermore, according to Resolution No. 006/2009-CUni, the purposes of CRINT are:

• To promote the exchange of experiences among students, administrators, researchers, and professors with their counterparts at foreign institutions through courses, internships, events, and exchange programs;
• To encourage the development of international cooperation projects with partner institutions and others;
• To foster and create conditions for students, faculty, and administrative staff from UFRR to participate in international activities;
• To assist international students, professors, and researchers participating in exchange programs at UFRR with the regularization of their stay in Brazil.

Regarding the objectives of the Office of International Relations, Resolution No. 006/2009-CUni establishes:

• To coordinate international cooperation activities and agreements within UFRR;
• To advise the Senior Administration in the formalization of contracts, agreements, projects, partnerships, and exchange programs with international institutions of education, research, and related organizations;
• To encourage the UFRR academic community, through the Pro-Rectories and Academic Units, to formalize contracts, agreements, projects, exchanges, academic and cultural relations, and international partnerships in line with the interests of UFRR;
• To advise external stakeholders on international affairs that align with the institutional development of UFRR.
