De acordo com a Resolução n°006/2009-CUni, de criação da CRINT, as competências da Coordenadoria de Relações Internacionais incluem:

• Coordenar ações relacionadas à cooperação e parcerias com órgãos internacionais, promovendo o estabelecimento de vínculos com diversas entidades globais.
• Encaminhar projetos às agências de fomento, e a instituições internacionais, privadas e públicas, com o objetivo de obter recursos financeiros para a UFRR.
• Emitir pareceres para a concretização de Acordos de Cooperação, tanto bilaterais quanto multilaterais, com instituições nacionais e estrangeiras, assegurando a formalização de parcerias institucionais.
• Promover intercâmbio científico, artístico e cultural entre a UFRR e instituições internacionais, contribuindo para o enriquecimento acadêmico e cultural da universidade.
• Representar o Reitor em viagens internacionais, com a anuência deste, estabelecendo contatos com instituições nacionais e estrangeiras para o desenvolvimento institucional da UFRR.
• Organizar a entrada e saída de documentos da Coordenadoria, garantindo que o fluxo de informações e a documentação sejam corretamente gerenciados.
• Manter atualizado o banco de dados com informações sobre instituições estrangeiras conveniadas, órgãos internacionais de fomento à pesquisa, desenvolvimento de projetos e representações diplomáticas, facilitando o acesso a essas informações pela comunidade acadêmica.

According to Resolution No. 006/2009-CUni, which established CRINT, the responsibilities of the Office of International Relations include:

• Coordinating actions related to cooperation and partnerships with international organizations, promoting the establishment of ties with various global entities.
• Submitting projects to funding agencies and to international, private, and public institutions with the goal of securing financial resources for UFRR.
• Issuing reports and evaluations to support the establishment of Cooperation Agreements, both bilateral and multilateral, with national and foreign institutions, ensuring the formalization of institutional partnerships.
• Promoting scientific, artistic, and cultural exchanges between UFRR and international institutions, contributing to the university’s academic and cultural enrichment.
• Representing the Rector on international trips, with their approval, in order to establish connections with national and foreign institutions for the institutional development of UFRR.
• Organizing the incoming and outgoing documents of the Office, ensuring that the flow of information and documentation is properly managed.
• Keeping the database updated with information on partner foreign institutions, international research funding agencies, project development entities, and diplomatic representations, facilitating access to this information by the academic community.
