PRIMEIRA SEMANA DO PPGSBio

A Primeira Semana do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Saúde e Biodiversidade (PPGSBio) da Universidade Federal de Roraima (UFRR) ocorreu entre os dias 3 e 7 de maio de 2021, com o objetivo de apresentar o programa, seus docentes e esclarecer dúvidas dos mestrandos aprovados no edital de seleção. O evento foi realizado de forma virtual devido à pandemia, garantindo maior alcance e acessibilidade. A abertura contou com a participação de autoridades acadêmicas, reafirmando o compromisso institucional com a pesquisa e a formação científica na Amazônia. No mesmo dia, uma aula inaugural apresentou os objetivos e a estrutura do PPGSBio. Durante a semana, ocorreram apresentações dos docentes das duas linhas de pesquisa, oferecendo aos alunos uma visão abrangente das áreas de atuação. A programação incluiu também uma palestra sobre Mestrado Acadêmico, ministrada pelo Prof. Dr. José Sterza Justo (UNESP), contribuindo para o enriquecimento das discussões. O evento promoveu a integração acadêmica e incentivando estudos voltados à saúde e biodiversidade. A iniciativa fortaleceu a missão do programa de contribuir para a ciência, inovação e sustentabilidade na região, além de ampliar a visibilidade do mestrado.

FIRST WEEK OF PPGSBio

The First Week of the Graduate Program in Health and Biodiversity (PPGSBio) at the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) took place from May 3 to 7, 2021, with the objective of introducing the program, its faculty, and addressing questions from the master’s students admitted through the selection process. The event was held virtually due to the pandemic, ensuring greater reach and accessibility. The opening session featured the participation of academic authorities, reaffirming the institutional commitment to research and scientific training in the Amazon region. On the same day, an inaugural lecture presented the objectives and structure of PPGSBio. Throughout the week, faculty members from the two research lines gave presentations, providing students with a comprehensive overview of the program’s areas of focus. The schedule also included a lecture on Academic Master’s Programs, delivered by Prof. Dr. José Sterza Justo (UNESP), enriching the discussions. The event fostered academic integration and encouraged studies related to health and biodiversity. This initiative strengthened the program’s mission to contribute to science, innovation, and sustainability in the region while also increasing the visibility of the master’s program.
