RODA DE CONVERSA: PESQUISA NA ÁREA DE SAÚDE PÚBLICA

A Roda de Conversa: Pesquisa na Área de Saúde Pública, realizada pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Saúde e Biodiversidade (PPGSBio-UFRR) em parceria com a Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ), foi um marco significativo para a pesquisa e a formação acadêmica na Amazônia. O evento não apenas promoveu um diálogo interdisciplinar sobre os desafios da pesquisa em saúde pública, mas também marcou o início do Programa Interinstitucional de Doutoramento (DINTER) em Medicina Tropical da FIOCRUZ, consolidando uma colaboração estratégica entre a instituição e a UFRR.

O encontro reuniu pesquisadores, docentes e discentes, incentivando discussões sobre a importância da pesquisa para a melhoria da qualidade de vida e os desafios da carreira acadêmica na região amazônica. Especialistas da FIOCRUZ (Dra. Vanessa Salete de Paula, Dra. Lívia Melo Villa e Dr. Marco Aurélio Pereira Horta) compartilharam suas experiências sobre a inserção da instituição no ensino superior e nas pesquisas científicas, além de abordarem estratégias para fortalecer a saúde pública no Brasil.

Essa parceria entre a FIOCRUZ e a UFRR, por meio do PPGSBio, representa um avanço no fortalecimento das pesquisas na Amazônia, permitindo um maior vínculo entre as instituições e ampliando as oportunidades para pesquisadores locais. Dentro dessa colaboração, parte das disciplinas do doutorado dos participantes do DINTER será realizada conjuntamente com o PPGSBio, promovendo uma maior integração acadêmica e possibilitando trocas científicas entre os programas.

A metodologia adotada na Roda de Conversa favoreceu um ambiente dinâmico e participativo, promovendo a troca de saberes entre academia e sociedade. Além de incentivar a formação de redes colaborativas entre pesquisadores, a iniciativa atendeu às políticas de extensão universitária, promovendo a divulgação técnico-científica e estimulando o interesse pela pesquisa na região.

TALK CIRCLE: RESEARCH IN PUBLIC HEALTH

The Roundtable Discussion: Research in Public Health, organized by the Graduate Program in Health and Biodiversity (PPGSBio-UFRR) in partnership with the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ), was a significant milestone for research and academic training in the Amazon. The event not only fostered an interdisciplinary dialogue on the challenges of public health research but also marked the launch of the Interinstitutional Doctoral Program (DINTER) in Tropical Medicine at FIOCRUZ, strengthening a strategic collaboration between the institution and UFRR.

The meeting brought together researchers, faculty members, and students, encouraging discussions on the importance of research in improving quality of life and the challenges of an academic career in the Amazon region. Experts from FIOCRUZ (Dr. Vanessa Salete de Paula, Dr. Lívia Melo Villa, and Dr. Marco Aurélio Pereira Horta) shared their experiences regarding the institution’s role in higher education and scientific research, as well as strategies to strengthen public health in Brazil.

This partnership between FIOCRUZ and UFRR, through PPGSBio, represents progress in strengthening research in the Amazon, fostering closer ties between institutions and expanding opportunities for local researchers. As part of this collaboration, some of the doctoral courses for DINTER participants will be conducted jointly with PPGSBio, promoting greater academic integration and enabling scientific exchanges between the programs.

The methodology adopted in the Roundtable Discussion created a dynamic and participatory environment, facilitating the exchange of knowledge between academia and society. In addition to fostering collaborative research networks, the initiative aligned with university extension policies, promoting technical-scientific dissemination and encouraging interest in research in the region.
