The Federal University of Roraima - UFRR, created in 1989, was the first Institution of Higher Education in Roraima. Currently it is the biggest university in the state, located at the Amazon region, northeast Brazil which borders Venezuela and Guiana.
Composed of 634 faculty and 377 staff members, UFRR offers 50 undergraduate and 22 graduate programs (4 PhDs, 10 masters and 8 specialist degrees) to over 7.500 regular students, 7183 in the undergraduate courses and 442 in the graduate programs , all of the programs are distributed in Paricarana, Cauame and Murupu campuses.
Insikiran Institute of Indigenous Education has commitment with the qualification of ethical and competent citizens who respect ethical and cultural diversities. It is focused on inter/multiculturality, developing education, research and community engagement as well as qualifying indigenous professors through innovator project in the country.
