The Federal University of Roraima - UFRR, created in 1989, was the first Institution of Higher Education in Roraima. Currently it is the biggest university in the state, located at the Amazon region, northeast Brazil which borthers Venezuela and Guiana.
Composed of 587 faculty and 379 staff members, UFRR offers 50 undergraduate and 22 graduate programs (4 PhDs, 10 masters and 8 specialist degrees) to over 9.500 regular students, all of the programs are distributed in Paricarana, Cauame and Murupu campuses.
Insikiran Institute of Indigenous Education has commitment with the qualification of ectical and competent citzens who repect the ectical and cultural diversities. Focused on inter/multiculturality, it develops the teaching, research and extension. Therefore, UFRR stands out for the qualification of indigenous professors through an innovator project in the country: Insikiran Intitute.
